This ACA Rodeo is produced by Tommy Rand of Rand Rodeo Company featuring the Chicks-n-Spurs Drill Team. Opening Ceremonies include a spectacular presentation of Corporate Sponsor Flags up to 50 custom flags!

Top 15 contestants in the State of Arkansas will compete in the following events: Bareback Riding, Team Roping, Goat Tying, Bronco Riding, Calf Roping, Breakaway Roping, Barrel Racing and Bull Riding. Funny man, Tim Robbins, will entertain the crowd and bring the kids for a fun-filled calf scramble.

The rodeo is a great seat for the fireworks on Saturday night. We will pause the rodeo program briefly to enjoy the fireworks. Chicks-n-Spurs Drill Team entertain the crowd each night with fast horses, pretty girls, fun music, synchronized movements and daring maneuvers!

Chicks-n-Spurs Drill Team will also display up to 50 corporate flags on horseback in the Red White & Blue Parade Friday June 27th at 5:30pm. It’s a site to see!

FIRST FEDERAL TURTLE RACES
Think you have what it takes to be a turtle jockey? Children ages 12 and younger are invited to participate in the Red, White & Blue First Federal Turtle Races. The annual event will be held on Saturday, June 28 at 4pm, at the Arkansas State University Campus in Mountain Home.

Pre-registration begins at 2 PM. Four races – for ages 0-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12 – will begin at 4 PM. Winners will receive trophies and get to have their picture taken with Chester T. Chipmunk, the president of Chester’s Investor Club, First Federal’s savings account for children.

Registration and attendance at the event is free. Participants may race box turtles only; snapping turtles will be disqualified.  If participants decorate their turtles, they are asked to use water-soluble paint so it will wash off once the race is over. Turtle jockeys are asked to release their turtles in their natural habitat. Turtles love to be in woods, fields, or any other place a safe distance from the highway.

For additional information, contact Janie Edmonds with First Federal at 870.508.5679 or 870.404.1217.
